Traditional shape you love with a lowered attack angle for easier penetration of tight fit up and wedging ability. Ideal for use on large bore and heavy wall pipe. 6010 / 7018 spatter is not longer an issue on the pipeline

The standard wedge shape and size for any fit up, big or small, horizontal for vertical. It fits in your pocket and lasts forever. Enjoy the plasma Nitride hardening for spatter resistance.

it’s a game changer
I love my step wedge, when I first got it I was like “my 1/8” gap wire works just fine, why do I need this!” Boy was I wrong, it’s a game changer.

Uniform Gap
“The step wedge is extremely handy, I use it for setting and checking my gap between two pieces of any metal, pipe or structural. Anything joint that’s getting a full penetration weld needs that uniform gap”

“The stepped wedge is awesome!! Besides setting the gap on pipe fit up I used it numerous times to spread flanges for gaskets. It's also handy for centering slip on flange to pipe. Slip flange on pipe and adjust gap by sliding wedge between flange and top of pipe. Perfect centering setup. I used the wedge in a pump frame fabrication on welding table. Adjusted channel frame by sliding wedge between table and steel. It is a quality product.
